Brief

Create unique assets and engaging augmented reality animations designed to honour and celebrate local heroes, creating a memorable experience for customers, blending creativity with cutting-edge technology. The project emphasizes storytelling through immersive visuals, ensuring each animation resonates with audiences while spotlighting community champions. Perfect for campaigns, social media engagement, and event activations, these assets transform the way brands connect with their communities.

TSB Bank plc is a British retail and commercial bank in Edinburgh, Scotland. It has been a subsidiary of Sabadell Group since 2015.

 

In 1986, the legal entity, Trustee Savings Bank, was renamed TSB Scotland (and, in 1989, TSB Bank Scotland), before becoming Lloyds TSB Scotland in 1999.[8] This company was re-registered under the name TSB Bank in 2013.[9] The parent, TSB Banking Group, was registered in England in 2014 and later that year TSB Bank ceased to be part of the Lloyds Banking Group. TSB Bank plc began operating as a separate business within Lloyds Banking Group on 9 September 2013,[19] with the intention of selling it off through an initial public offering.

App

Working with 360i I was tasked to work on their TSB account who were looking to use Augmented Reality to promote their Pride of Britain campaign which they are running in partnership with The Sun tabloid newspaper.

 

Illustrations were worked from Illustrator and exported in After Effects and then a sprite sheet was created which was then imported in Facebook’s augmented reality application AR Studio.

This involved creating a banner animation to introduce some initial movement and then a variety of different elements would appear which would interact with the users face - balloons, hearts, globes and confetti all coloured in TSB’s brand palette. The illustrations would then have lighting effects added in an Augmented Reality, AR Studio.

Campaign

In addition to the augmented reality work I looked at creating some Facebook adverts which the user would have to swipe through. The Pride of Britain awards campaign is designed to give recognition to ordinary folk who contribute a lot to their society.

Both advertisements were designed to give a customer journey through the ad and to end up with a call to action at the end. At the time of writing the bottom right panel featuring illustrations were planned to be animated.
