Artism•EXHIBITION
London, UK
Group Art Show with absolutely no restrictions for the content or direction. The show was spilt into 2 days - the first was intended for industry professionals - none of whom turned up and the second was for the public so there was a lot of opportunities to sell work and make some money, in theory. I opted to produce the work on cardboard and used the new medium of tea.
Montana Paint Pens, Speedball Super Black india ink, cardboard, PG Tips tea.
Illustrated brings together the most exciting voices in contemporary illustration and street art, transforming The Old Truman Brewery into a vibrant creative hub in East London. The exhibition showcases mixed-media works on cardboard using marker, ink, and tea stains, alongside large-scale murals, layered installations, and immersive gallery experiences. Visitors encounter live painting, graffiti battles, music, and artist-led talks, capturing the energy, diversity, and edge of London’s street culture. Each piece highlights the individuality of the artists while reflecting the broader urban visual landscape.
Following previous exhibitions at Café 1001, this expanded edition marked a major evolution for Illustrated. Open first to industry professionals and then to the public, the show offered a rare opportunity to experience, collect, and buy original artworks, limited edition prints, and artist-designed apparel. From intimate sketches to bold murals, the exhibition celebrates contemporary illustration and street art while giving visitors a tangible connection to East London’s creative scene.
...Showcasing not only some of the biggest names in the business, but also... tomorrow’s most promising artists...
The Truman Brewery, East London's revolutionary arts and media quarter, is home to a hive of creative businesses as well as exclusively independent shops, galleries, markets, bars and restaurants. For over twenty years the Truman Brewery has been regenerating its ten acres of vacant and derelict buildings into spectacular office, retail, leisure and event spaces.
The finely tuned mix of business and leisure has created an environment unique in London, making the Truman Brewery a destination in its own right.

Having exhibited with the Showcase Cities before in Brick Lane's Café 1001, I was invited to exhibit under the new Illustrated moniker. The event took place in The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane and was open to industry insiders on day one and to the public on the second day.
